Department Of Physiology

The biological study and examination of numerous living forms, with a specific focus on human and animal life, are all included in the field of Physiology. The Bachelor of Science in Physiology General Course started its journey in 2010 under the West Bengal State University (WBSU). The department is actively engaged in a range of educational activities, including both classroom teaching and in digital teaching. The strength of the Department of Physiology lies in the outstanding faculty, who take pride in a strong commitment to excellence in teaching as well as in research. The teaching and learning activities include lecture discussions, seminars, practical classes, small group teaching, and clinical demonstrations. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the human or animal body's structure and function, including topics such as cell physiology, neurophysiology, cardiovascular physiology, endocrinology, respiratory physiology, and more. The B.Sc. in Physiology course turns graduate students into skilled individuals who are prepared to accept a range of available positions in the healthcare sector.
