Ragging, in the educational institution, is one of the most sensitive issues today. We, the Anti-Ragging Cell of the Rishi Bankim Chandra College for Women, Naihati, are very careful about this. The Cell is determined that any incident of ragging, be it physical or psychological, cannot take place in the college premises. We know that Ragging is a crime which destroys the physical and emotional confidence. So we need our student to be aware about ragging and its punishment. Generally this institution have own discipline to monitor everything through the cell and take necessary steps. Sometimes we organise awareness programmes against ragging. In every year the cell organise a seminar with valuable speeches delivered by renowned persons. Principal presides over those programmes and resource person delivers the speech on this matter. We hope these steps will make our institution a ragging- free zone.
