About
In 1984 Rishi Bankim Chandra College was trifurcated. The Bengali Department of morning section (For women) was established in the same year. The Department introduced Bengali General Course, and compulsory Bengali under the affiliation of Calcutta University. Bengali Honours course was also introduced in 1994. In 2010, Our college had come under the West Bengal State University. Subsequently, in the year 2017, P.G Courses in Bengali began. Till date, the Honours,General courses as well as PG Courses are continuing successfully . A student friendly cordial environment is prevailing in the department . The introduction of CBCS system has helped students to achieve desirable results. In last two years students also ranked well in the University Exam. A large number of passed out students took admission in P.G Courses in C.U., W.B.S.U. ,K.U. and other Universities.
